Ingredients
- 140 g Canned Tuna (Shredded) (1 can)
- 60 g Mixed Salad (about 2 big handfuls)
- 1 count Tomato (1 medium tomato)
- 0.25 count Red Onion (1/4 small onion)
- 30 g Olives (about 2 tbsp)
- 0.5 count Lemon (juice of half a lemon)
- 15 ml Olive Oil (1 tbsp)
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Black Pepper
Instructions
- 1Thoroughly drain the canned tuna to remove excess liquid.
- 2Dice the tomato and very thinly slice the red onion and olives.
- 3In a serving bowl, lay down a fresh bed of the mixed salad.
- 4Top the greens with the drained canned tuna, diced tomato, sliced red onion, and olives.
- 5Drizzle the olive oil and squeeze the fresh juice from the lemon evenly over the bowl.
- 6Sprinkle lightly with salt and black pepper, then gently toss everything together just before eating.
Chef's Tips
- •Soaking your sliced red onions in cold water for 5 minutes before adding them to the salad makes them crisper and less harsh.
- •Since shredded tuna can be quite fine, making sure it is fully drained prevents your fresh greens from becoming soggy.
