Welcome to Kitchen Buddy! By using our app, website, or services, you are agreeing to these terms. Please read them carefully, as they constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Kitchen Buddy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing Kitchen Buddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The Kitchen Buddy Service

Kitchen Buddy provides AI-powered recipe generation, pantry management, and grocery scanning.

• AI Recipes: Our recipes are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI can make mistakes. Always use your best judgment, check cooking temperatures, and be mindful of food safety and personal allergies.
• Photo & Receipt Scanning: You are responsible for the photos you upload. Please do not upload sensitive, illegal, or copyrighted material.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Kitchen Buddy offers "Pro" features via auto-renewable subscriptions.

• Payment: Payments are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe (for web users).
• Trials: If you are eligible for a free trial, you will be charged the subscription fee at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (iOS/Android) or your web account.
• Refunds: All billing is handled by the platform provider (Apple, Google, or Stripe). Kitchen Buddy cannot issue refunds directly for App Store or Play Store purchases.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use Kitchen Buddy for any illegal purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the AI or scrape data from the app.
• Share your account credentials with others.

5. Intellectual Property

The "Kitchen Buddy" name, logo, and the AI models used within the app are the property of Kitchen Buddy. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal, non-commercial use.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Kitchen Buddy is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the recipes will always be delicious (though we try!) or that the app will be 100% error-free. We are not liable for any kitchen mishaps, allergic reactions, or incorrect nutritional data.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kitchen Buddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service.

8. Apple Standard EULA

For users on iOS, these terms incorporate the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) by reference.
