A light and sophisticated dish that combines juicy salmon with the refreshing acidity of passion fruit sauce.
Grilled Salmon with Passion Fruit Sauce is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a balanced, sophisticated, and extremely tasty meal. This Grilled Salmon with Passion Fruit Sauce recipe combines the succulent texture of the fish with the vibrant acidity of the passion fruit, creating an irresistible contrast on the palate. The secret to a perfect Grilled Salmon with Passion Fruit Sauce is not to overcook the fish, maintaining its natural moisture. Using your concentrated passion fruit juice and the butter from your fridge, you can prepare a velvety sauce in just a few minutes. Besides being rich in omega-3, this preparation is ideal for impressing guests or for a special weeknight dinner, as it's ready in under 30 minutes. The subtle sweetness and acidity of the passion fruit sauce cut through the salmon's natural fat, making every bite light and refreshing. Serve with your white rice to soak up all the sauce and ensure none of that flavor goes to waste. Use professional tips to sear the fish correctly and get that crispy skin and pink interior.
Ingredients
- 5 units Salmon Fillets (about 800g to 900g)
- 120 ml Concentrated Passion Fruit Juice (about ½ cup)
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 0.5 unit Onion (about ½ cup chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 tsp Salt
Instructions
- 1Season the salmon fillets with the salt and half of the minced garlic.
- 2In a large skillet, melt one tablespoon of butter and grill the salmon for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown on the outside and cooked through. Set aside on a warm plate.
- 3In the same skillet (or a small pot), add the remaining butter and sauté the chopped onion and the remaining garlic until lightly golden.
- 4Pour the concentrated passion fruit juice into the pan. Let it cook over low heat for about 5 minutes until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly.
- 5If you prefer a sweeter sauce for contrast, you can add a pinch of sugar (optional).
- 6Drizzle the sauce over the grilled salmon fillets and serve immediately.
Chef's Tips
- •For very crispy skin, start grilling the fish skin-side down over medium-high heat.
- •Serve with your White Rice for a complete meal.
- •Do not let the sauce boil too long so it doesn't lose the freshness of the passion fruit aroma.
