A traditional Arabic molokhia dish prepared in a healthy and light way, rich in protein and aromatic flavors.
This Healthy Molokhia with Chicken recipe is one of the most famous and delicious dishes in Arabic cuisine, making it an excellent choice for those looking for a satisfying yet diet-friendly meal. Preparing Healthy Molokhia with Chicken at home allows you to control the amount of fat used, making it high in protein thanks to the chicken, and full of fiber, vitamins, and iron found in fresh molokhia leaves. This recipe consists of simple ingredients that impart a deep flavor, such as minced garlic and cilantro, which give the dish its irresistible signature aroma. The secret to a successful Healthy Molokhia with Chicken is the "Taqleya," which we will prepare using a very small amount of olive oil instead of ghee or butter, to keep calories low without sacrificing the authentic and distinct taste. Adding a squeeze of fresh lemon at the end elevates the flavors and helps the body better absorb the iron in the green leaves. This light and nutritious meal is perfect for a family lunch or a cozy dinner, helping you consume fresh, perishable vegetables and herbs in your fridge easily and smartly.
